Healthier Hair through Phototherapy with HairMax Laser Comb Technology

  • The HairMax uses laser light to halt and reverse the process of hair loss
  • The HairMax Laser Comb is designed with teeth which part the hair allowing the laser light to reach the scalp where it is needed
  • The laser light from the HairMax stimulates weak hair follicles
  • HairMax improves scalp blood flow, increases ATP production in cells and removes harmful DHT and other waste products
  • HairMax encourages the follicles to produce healthy, thick hair
  • HairMax stops thinning of hair and promotes regrowth

The HairMax Laser Comb is able to halt the hair loss process and even restore lost hair by stimulating the scalp and the hair follicles with just the right kind of laser light.

Depending on which mode is selected, the HairMax laser Comb generates up to nine columns of laser light in the red part of the visible light spectrum. Laser light is coherent (the light waves are all in phase with one another, delivering more energy than ordinary light), and clinical tests have demonstrated the specific benefits of red laser light for the skin.

The HairMax Laser Comb also has its own, patented, method for parting the hair to allow the scalp to enjoy the full benefits of laser phototherapy. The hair parting teeth are aligned precisely to the laser light beams so that the beneficial effects are maximised.

Adenosine Triphosphate: Life’s Energy Source

All life is made up of cells, and cells need energy to function. Energy is required to enable cells to metabolise food; to synthesise proteins, DNA and other essential molecules needed to maintain bodily functions and replace material lost through damage and wear and tear; and to transport nutrients to where they are needed. These processes are continuous and need a constant supply of energy. This energy comes from a compound called Adenosine Triphosphate, or ATP. It contains a row of three phosphate groups and releases energy when an enzyme causes it to let go of the last phosphate group. This energy is then used by the cell to perform its essential functions. ATP is produced in structures within the cell called mitochondria, then used where it is needed, so that ATP in effect transports energy to the places in the cell where it is required. Increasing the amount of ATP in a cell has been shown to increase the activity of the cell.

Laser Light and ATP Production

It is thought that energy from laser light can be used by mitochondria to synthesise ATP, in a similar way to photosynthesis in plants. Tests involving bathing cell cultures in different wavelengths of laser light have found increased levels of cell activity, thought to be due to increased production of ATP.

Laser Light and Hair Follicles

As well as operating at a cellular level to increase ATP production in the follicles, studies have indicated that laser light increases blood flow in the scalp, bringing essential nutrients and removing DHT (dihydrotestosterone) and other undesirable by-products of cell metabolism. This, combined with increased ATP levels, can rejuvenate weak hair follicles, providing the energy and nutrients required to produce strong, healthy hair. By ensuring the precise application of the right frequency of laser light to the areas where it is most effective,
HairMax Laser Comb stops and reverses hair loss and stimulates the growth of thicker, healthier hair.
